Η χειροτεχνία, εκτός από δικαίωμα στην ανάγκη για έκφραση, αποτελεί σημαντικό κομμάτι της παγκόσμιας πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς, καθώς παραμένει ζωντανή και εξελίσσεται μέσα στους αιώνες, μέσω της έμπνευσης, της φαντασίας και της δεξιοτεχνίας των χειροτεχνών, για την κάλυψη των αναγκών για χρηστικά και διακοσμητικά αντικείμενα.

Παράλληλα, εκτός από έκφραση, σημαντικό είναι και το δικαίωμα στην εργασία και την ασφάλιση.
Για εμάς, τους χειροτέχνες που δραστηριοποιούμαστε στην ελληνική επικράτεια και προσπαθούμε να αλληλοκαλύψουμε αυτές τις ανάγκες, τα πράγματα είναι πολύ δύσκολα, καθώς οι νόμοι του Ελληνικού κράτους είναι ασαφείς και εχθρικοί για την επαγγελματική κατηγορία στην οποία ανήκουμε, δίνοντας την άνεση στις δημόσιες υπηρεσίες του, να μας εμπαίζουν και να μας διώκουν, αντί να μας προστατεύουν.
Απολαμβάνοντας έμπρακτα τη θερμή αποδοχή του κοινού που μας στηρίζει, ζητάμε τα αυτονόητα:

• επαγγελματική άδεια χειροτεχνικής δεξιότητας
• ασφάλιση
• δίκαιη φορολογία στα χαμηλά μας εισοδήματα
• ενιαία άδεια κατάληψης κοινόχρηστου χώρου σε όλη την Ελληνική επικράτεια
• προστασία του κοινού από τους απατεώνες (ψευτο-χειροτέχνες)

Ζητάμε τη στήριξή σας, στην προσπάθεια κατάκτησης των παραπάνω.

Apart from being everyone’s right to express him/herself through art, it would be more than illuminating to puzzle out the necessity of expression as well as the real worth and usefulness of decorative arts.
Handicraft is one of the most widely accepted and efficient ways of art expression which not only does help cultural inheritance spread worldwide but it also helps personal inspiration bear fruit.
Handicrafters are challenged to combine imagination, feeling and dexterity in order to provide people with useful objects captivating beauty and memories into functionality and purpose.
On the other hand, it is really disappointing the fact that the Greek state seems to avoid protecting handicrafters and what’s more, the existing laws being unclear, it proves to drive artists into an endless and ruthless exposition to risk and persecution.
People who devote their lives to being creative, people who belong to arts, people who make inspiration real are expected to avoid being mocked or being treated with hostility.
Moreover, Greeks should have a more generous attitude towards artisans and artists as there in an illustrious tradition that has always been respected through the years. Craftsmen and artists have been warm-welcome in our country and despite the economic crisis people still support art and artists while the state seems to be neglectful of its duty not only to protect but even encourage people to become creative and inventive.
Taking everything into account we request the following regulations in order to ensure our being legal. 

• Official license to handicrafters
• Insurance
• Fair tax rates on our low income
• Single occupancy of a special license for using shared public space in Greek territory
• Protect consumers from fraud (pseudo-crafters)

Die Handwerkskunst stellt als Ausdrucksbedürfnis ein Recht dar und ist ein wichtiger Teil des Weltkulturerbes, welcher durch die Inspiration, das Einfallsreichtum und Können der Handwerker im Laufe der Jahrhunderte lebt, sich weiterentwickelt und den Bedarf an Gebrauchs- und Dekorationsgegenständen abdeckt. 
Parallel zum Ausdrucksrecht bleibt ebenso wichtig das Recht auf Arbeit und Versicherung. 
Für uns Handwerker, die sich im griechischen Staatsgebiet engagieren und diese Bedürfnisse decken möchten, gestaltet sich die Situation äußerst schwierig, da die Gesetze in Griechenland diesem Berufszweig unklar und Teils feindlich gegenüberstehen in dem sie teilweise den öffentlichen Ämtern das Recht geben uns zu verspotten und zu verfolgen statt uns zu schützen. 
Mit der tatkräftigen Unterstützung der Öffentlichkeit die unsere Kunsterzeugnisse herzlich annimmt, fordern wir das Selbstverständliche: 

• Berufslizenz für handwerkliches Geschick
• Versicherungsschutz
• Gerechte Besteuerung unserer niedrigen Einkommen
• Einheitliche Lizenz für die Belegung gemeinnütziger Räume im gesamten griechischen Staatsgebiet
• Schutz der Bevölkerung vor Pseudo-Handwerker
